Week 11EC: Learning by HEART: Reading Challenge

I tried reading out loud for this assignment and it really slowed my reading times down. Even though it slowed my reading down, I don't think it improved my comprehension. I will be sticking to my regular ways of reading because it is faster and I am able to comprehend it better.

  1. Hey Casey. I find that I have the same outcome as you. As our leader in this course says, reading out loud IS a great way to catch typo's. But, I agree, it doesn't help me with improving comprehension any more than reading in my head does. Now stopping to use a dictionary when I come across a new word or even to remind myself how to use a familiar word precisely according to its definition is gold.
